Information for secondary school pupils

Following a long tradition, Georgianum Grammar School offers high-achieving secondary school graduates with an extended secondary school leaving certificate after Year 10 the opportunity to be admitted to the upper grammar school and take the Abitur examination. Many young people have taken this path in recent decades and have achieved remarkable academic success.

Those who already come to us with a second foreign language (usually French) continue with this language in Year 11. For all others, the school offers the opportunity to learn a second foreign language (Spanish or Latin) in a three-year language course.

In Year 11 (introductory phase), pupils are prepared for the choice of examination subjects in the qualification phase (Years 12 and 13).

Registration for the new school year must be completed by 20 February of each year.

In Year 11, the use of an iPad is mandatory.

This can be an iPad (11th generation), an iPad Pro or an iPad Air. As it must be entered into our school MDM for administrative purposes, the device must have a DEP function. A conventionally purchased device does not usually have this function. We therefore offer the option of ordering via a school order portal, but there are also other possibilities.
