Our school was awarded the DLRG sponsorship prize in 2020 and bears the DLRG school seal. This seal stands for special achievements in swimming instruction.
At Georgianum, a particularly large number of swimming lessons are held in our own swimming pool. In secondary level 1, swimming is taught in physical education classes in our swimming pool in years 5, 6 and 7.
In addition, there is a non-swimmers' class for Years 5, 6 and 7, and pupils interested in swimming can take part in the BW Lingen school swimming championships every year.
In the upper school, swimming is offered at a basic and advanced level.
The Georgianum's cooperation with the DLRG (Lingen local group) is particularly noteworthy. The DLRG is responsible for regularly refreshing the lifesaving skills of the sports teachers in the sports department. In addition, the DLRG supports the school first aid service and offers comprehensive first aid training for pupils.
