Consulting and evaluation

In learning development reports, subject teachers document the performance level of all pupils in November. If the level of learning and/or performance requires it, support plans are drawn up.

Educational conferences are held for each class to discuss individual pupils. Parent-teacher conferences are offered in autumn and spring.

The guidance teachers are available to advise on support options that go beyond what the school offers (e.g. involving external cooperation partners).

Performance levels are discussed with the pupils twice per half-year. In addition to these fixed appointments, colleagues are also available for individual consultations at other times.

This is how it works

  1. Recommendation by the class teacher and personal invitation interview. Participation is an honour – and an opportunity to demonstrate your own abilities.
  2. Working hours: With the consent of the subject teachers, participants may leave class for up to two lessons per week to work in the library or at PC workstations, for example. Regular duties take precedence.
  3. Project work & support: Topic freely selectable, work alone or in a team; methodological building blocks (including scientific work, empirical methods, Office tools, rhetoric).
  4. Commitment: Participation is voluntary, but becomes binding once a decision has been made; opportunities and burdens are weighed up with parents.

What we look for

  • Motivation and independence of participants
  • Reliable documentation (project/process diary) and regular feedback
  • Recognition of achievements at the academy evening
