Spaß, im Team zu singen

Our school's summer concert took place in June. After a year's break, our school's music group prepared many impressive pieces and dances, which they performed in front of a full audience in the auditorium.

We, the senior choir, consisting of Anna Blockhaus, Jana Dillmann, Jette Gravemann, Jonathan Teupen, Judith Budden and Selma Holle, sang two songs: "Hold Back The River" by James Bay and "Somewhere Only We Know" by Keane. At first, we were a little nervous about singing in front of so many people, but it was a wonderful experience to perform the songs and realise that the months of rehearsals had been worth it. To prepare, we often met after school or rehearsed during breaks and realised that singing as a team is the most fun. We also noticed this on stage, as we really enjoyed performing the songs together as a choir.

Before and after our performance, we enjoyed listening to beautiful music, and we highly recommend attending the summer concert. At the end, all the groups that had performed earlier came on stage and played Coldplay's "Viva la Vida" together. This was a great way to end the concert. The audience really enjoyed this performance and even asked for an encore, which we were happy to play.

Overall, the summer concert was a wonderful evening, and we are already looking forward to the next concert.
